Rosewood Learning Press (“we”, “us”) runs this website to share information about our children’s activity books and to offer free printables. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Who this website is for. This website is meant for parents, guardians and teachers. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it. Our website has no accounts, comments or sign-up forms, and any ads we show are set to be non-personalized (see Advertising below), so it is built not to collect information from children.
Information we collect.
- Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you.
- Automatic information. Like most websites, our website host may record basic visit information, such as your browser type, device, approximate location (city or region), the pages you view and the time of your visit. We use this to see which pages are useful and to keep the site working.
- Cookies. See our Cookie Notice.
We do not sell books on this website. When you click a “Buy on Amazon” link, you leave our site and Amazon’s own privacy policy applies to your purchase. We do not receive your payment or account information.
Free printables are downloaded directly from the website. We do not ask you to create an account or give us your email to download them.
How we use information. To answer your messages, to understand how the website is used, to improve it, and to keep it secure. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not give advertisers the information you send us (such as your email address). We do not share it except with the service providers that help run the website (for example our website host and, if we turn it on, an analytics service), or when the law requires it.
Third-party services. Our website is hosted by WordPress.com (Automattic Inc.). We may use website analytics (for example WordPress.com stats or Google Analytics), may connect our Pinterest account, and may show ads through an ad service (see Advertising below). These services may use cookies or similar tools. Their privacy and cookie policies are on their own websites, for example automattic.com/privacy and automattic.com/cookies.
Advertising. We may show ads on this website, served by Google AdSense or a similar ad service, to help pay for the free printables and articles. Whenever ads are shown, these rules apply:
- Who sets cookies. The ad company, not us, places and reads its own cookies and similar tools on your device. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads, and Google’s advertising cookies let it and its partners show ads based on visits to this website and other websites.
- Non-personalized ads only. Because this website is for parents and teachers and our books are for children, we will set our ads to non-personalized, child-restricted mode: no interest-based ads and no remarketing. Ad companies may still use limited cookies to count ad views, limit repeat ads and prevent fraud.
- Your choices. You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google at google.com/settings/ads, or from many other ad companies at aboutads.info. To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- No sale of your information. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not give advertisers the information you send us, such as your email address.
- Other ad companies. If we use an ad company other than Google, we will name it here and link to its privacy policy.
How long we keep information. We keep emails only as long as we need them to answer you, and we delete them after about two years. Our website host stores data in the United States, so if you visit from another country, your information is handled there.
Your choices. You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing rosewoodlearningpress@gmail.com. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have extra privacy rights, such as asking what we hold about you or asking us to correct or delete it. We will honor valid requests from anyone.
Security. We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no website can promise perfect security.
Links to other sites. Our website may link to other sites, such as Amazon and Pinterest. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
Changes. We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
